My path into the healing arts has been an integration of many paths. The very beginning was through Herbalism. In 2015 I was certified as a Clinical Herbalist through The Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine in Austin, TX. During my time in this year long course I watched the seasons ebb and flow and I witnessed the plants appearing on cue with the transitions very much like a symphony, each raising their bright boons of healing to be received.
In this realm of channeled lecture and hands on adventure, I took in the knowledge and wisdom of the ancient ways of plant medicine and I learned of the many methods to process and create with the plants. Hidden gifts within me were revealed and were found to be of such value to knowing myself and knowing what it is that I have to offer to this world. These are the gifts of holding space and compassion for my whole health, the awareness of my own born ability to heal, and the knowing that allows me to share this and bring light to the self healing of others. These gifts were the keys to new doors of opportunity that lead me to my life’s work in the healing arts.
Along with herbalism, I have delved into massage therapy and energy work. These modalities have given me new facets of the self to work with, windows of access to new experiences of epic, as well as indicative reflections of my universe. When in session I like to describe my state of mind to be like that of when I am painting or creating music, I am using an interactive flow that feels so effortless and so well known to me that I believe it to be of myself. In my community I am known as a visual artist, a musician, and a professional dancer. I wish to bring joy in all of my interactions. My mission is to serve others through healing and to master the expression of the true and authentic self. Some kindred sources of inspiration are masters of expression such as Frida Kahlo, Vincent Van Gogh, and Rumi.
